Richard Fahey guide to his Saturday team

Runners at Doncaster and Newbury for our star columnist on Saturday. Check out his thoughts on them all.

13:45 Doncaster - Flaming Princess

She’s tough, as hard as nails, and I thought she ran better than the finishing position suggests when sixth in the Cornwallis at Newmarket last time. She’ll need her A-Game in against these but always gives her very best which means you have a chance.

14:50 Newbury - Embolden

It looks a strong renewal of the Horris Hill and my fellow needs to find plenty but he’s a colt we like and won well at Redcar last time. Seven furlongs at Newbury looks spot on and he’s going well at home.

15:55 Newbury –Al Rasmah

She’s a filly we love but she was very disappointing at Ayr last time and we don't know why. I liked the way she won at Chester first time and if she's in that sort of form here she'd run well.

16:00 Doncaster - Fairy Stories

She’s had a great season, winning her last three, but goes up a couple of grades here. It’s a question of whether she’s good enough but we do know she handles the ground and she heads there in great form. I hope she runs well.

16:00 Doncaster - Mr Lupton

He never rose a gallop in the Ayr Gold Cup lat time and it wasn’t the trip or ground, he just didn’t fire. He won the Group Two Greenlands Stakes on his reappearance and has had tough tasks under a penalty since. I do think horses get fed of being beaten and feeling like they can’t win. He’d have a chance on his best form but clearly needs to bounce back.

16:35 Doncaster - Zap

I put him up as one of my horses to follow for the season and it was a kiss of death for this poor fellow, he’s been very disappointing. If he even half bounced back here he’d go well but it’s just not been happening for him.

17:10 Doncaster - Zip

I thought he ran well when third at Catterick last time as the sharp seven there wouldn’t have particularly suited him. The quicker they go the better for him here and he heads to Doncaster in good form.
