Before I run through the team for Doncaster on Wednesday and Thursday I have a brief news line and our Tattersalls Acomb winner Valdermoro looks to have run his last race in Britain.
He’s being sold to continue his career in Hong Kong and I hope he proves a huge success for new connections. He’s a very exciting colt and won really well at York and has a bright future.
Moving onto the action at Town Moor:
14:25 Wednesday - Bravo Faisal
We’re coming back quite quickly with him after the handicapper put him up a couple of pounds for finishing second at Newcastle on Friday. He’ll canter in the morning and if all goes well will run. Seven furlongs seems to be his trip and he heads here in good form.
14:25 Wednesday - Embolden
I’d like to see a bit more rain for him and it will be interesting to see what the ground is like at Town Moor. We’ve put cheekpieces on him for his handicap debut just to help him concentrate and he ran well at Musselburgh the last day.
15:35 Wednesday- Dubai Acclaim
He’s finished second at Leicester and Nottingham on his last two starts and it’s great to have Sammy Jo Bell riding for us again. I hope he runs well.
15:35 Wednesday - Windsor Cross
He’s well handicapped on his best form but I’d be surprised if Luke Harvey conjured that from him. Joking apart I’d love him to run well for his rider.
15:15 Thursday - National League
It’s a warm renewal of the valuable sales race. This colt ran alright in the York equivalent, finishing fifth behind Mums Tipple – but needs to step up on that to be in the five here.
15:15 Thursday - Toro Strike
He also needs to improve in against horses who’ve been competing at Group level but is progressive and gets weight from most in the field so isn't out of it.
