Space Traveller is among our star columnist's team for another busy Saturday - check out his thoughts on them all.
13:40 Doncaster – Ruby Shield
She’s a nice daughter of War Front and a filly we like. She's probably going to be better for the run but she has to start somewhere and this looks a good fit. It will be interesting to see how she runs.
14:05 Ripon - Brian The Snail
He's been disappointing I’m afraid and hasn’t run a race at all at York and Goodwood the last twice. As everyone knows he can gallop on a good day and it will be interesting to see how Josephine Gordon gets on with him.
14:05 Ripon - Growl
He probably ran alright when ninth in the Unibet Stewards' Cup at Goodwood. This would be a drop in grade for him and the handicapper has eased him a couple of pounds. We'll see what happens.
14:05 Ripon- Lucky Lucky Man
He's just starting to run himself into form and ran well when third at Hamilton last time. The more rain the better for him and he’s not one to draw a line through.
14:05 Ripon - Paddy Power
I thought he ran very well at Goodwood when fifth in the Qatar Stewards' Sprint. He’s produced a series of good, solid runs and has done nothing wrong. He should run his race again.
14:40 Ripon - Ventura Lightning
He’s a horse I like a lot and was very pleased with him when he won on debut at Thirsk. We gave him an entry in the Group One Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes this week so obviously hope he runs well here.
14:45 Newmarket - Stewardess
She runs in the grey race at Newmarket and I was half hoping it might be a little easier for her than the prize money would suggest. That said the handicapper probably has her and she need to bounce back from a disappointing run at Thirsk last time.
15:15 Ripon - George Bowen
He's been disappointing and has just completely lost his way at the moment. He never rose a gallop at Goodwood in the Stewards' Cup and is typical of a sprinter in that he might just have lost his confidence right now. If he gets it back he’s capable of running very well in races like this.
15:15 Ripon - Great Prospector
We’ve been waiting for decent ground for this horse and I hope it doesn’t dry out too much for him. I’ve fancied running him in a good race like this over six furlongs for some time and he heads there in very good form.
15:35 Newbury - Space Traveller
On the face of it he was a little disappointing in the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood last time but I just felt that was a messy enough race and while we don’t have any real excuses, things just didn’t happen for him. I’m just starting to worry that he’s not be a lover of slower ground and if it gets very soft at Newbury he might not run. He’s very good as we saw at Royal Ascot and capable of a bold show if things go right.
15:55 Newmarket - Gabrial The Wire
He’s in good order and while he’s probably better at seven furlongs than six, this is a £45,000 pot and we thought we’d give it a go and hope he’s competitive.
16:00 Doncaster - Kingson
He's a horse with lovely owners and I’d love to see him get his head in front for them. He is in great order and the handicapper is starting to give him a chance now. I often think my horses need to come down six or seven pounds after their handicapped for the first time and I hope it’s the case for him.
16:35 Doncaster - Delph Crescent
He's well handicapped now and ran better in the visor at Ripon last time. We've left it on here and hope it brings out the same level of performance again.
