Matt Brocklebank hit the target with a 5/1 winner on Monday and now he has the Tuesday best bets.
SPLENDENT looks the one to be on in the Great Metropolitan Handicap at Epsom. He's had a recent run which should put him straight for this and it's worth noting he won second time out last spring, defying a mark of 79 at Windsor before going on to win off 85 at Newbury and a 'big' race in Hungary at the start of September for good measure. He's only run three times since then but is back down to 89 which looks perfectly workable and he should get a good pace to chase with stall three and the booking of Tom Marquand other positive factors, on top of the yard being among the winners in recent weeks.
It could be worth taking a chance on the stamina of ZINA COLADA as she moves back up in trip. She's not yet fully proven over this far yet but trainer George Margarson knows the family well - having been responsible for her six-time winner Farhh To Shy - and Zina Colada was doing some good late work over six furlongs on her recent course comeback. She's been eased a pound on the back of that so is down to her last winning mark.
BILLY BOI BLUE continues to go the right way and was only beaten a length and a half in a novice event over a similar trip at Wetherby last month. He was returning after 64 days away, having won a Hereford maiden in January, and is entitled to strip fitter again here. He goes handicapping from what looks a reasonable opening mark and they're likely to go a decent gallop (Timeform pace forecast is 'strong') which should play to his strengths.
AMROON looks to have been crying out for a step up in trip and finally gets to race over seven furlongs for the first time at Wolverhampton. He was back to form when a staying-on fourth over six at Southwell when last seen in January and connections have had him gelded too in a bid to eke out a little more improvement. He's only 3lb higher than when winning at Chelmsford in November and should have more to offer on the all-weather at this sort of level.
