Paisley Park remains on course to make his reappearance in the Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury at the end of this month, a race he won last year.
Emma Lavelle’s stable star has dominated the staying hurdle division in recent seasons but met with a surprise defeat when seventh behind Lisnagar Oscar at Cheltenham in March.
He was found to be suffering from an irregular heartbeat but the trainer told ITV Racing: “Touch wood he’s in great order and had a really good summer out with us at home. He came in and touch wood his heart is great and he’s done plenty of work.
“The plan is to go to Newbury and start off in the same Long Distance Hurdle there and see how we go.”
