Options open for David Menuisier trained Danceteria

David Menuisier will not be rushed into a decision over where to send Danceteria after his Listed win in France on Wednesday.

A rapid improver last season when winning four handicaps in a row, his spree came to an end when a creditable fifth of 19 on Irish Champions Weekend.

He went on to finish a closing ninth of 33 in the Cambridgeshire, before ending his campaign in a Listed race in France, and regained the winning thread at Maisons-Laffitte.

"I'm still contemplating the options, I haven't decided yet, I'll give myself a few days to decide," said Menuisier.

"It was a very good run. I thought the form of the race looked strong for a Listed race and he did it really well over a trip which wasn't really ideal for him.

"Nine furlongs is sharp enough for him, but I decided to go there as I didn't really have many options, only the City And Suburban at Epsom and he'd have had top-weight near enough, as well as not knowing how he'd handle the track.

"He goes on any ground, but when the ground is quick he wants to go a bit further, as we found out in the Cambridgeshire last season when he was closing late on.

"I was expecting a good run and it was the icing on the cake to win.

"I just want to find the right race for him, but genuinely I don't know where that will be as yet.

"He's versatile, he's fine on straight courses and round bends, but I think he prefers the July Course to the Rowley Mile at Newmarket as I don't think it's as undulating."
