ITV Racing's Oli Bell has his best bets for day five of the Qatar Goodwood Festival - with Melting Dew fancied in the Summer Handicap for Sir Michael Stoute.
It's been a great week at Glorious Goodwood and it could be a fantastic end to proceedings for Sir Michael Stoute on Saturday as he has a couple of strong fancies.
Firstly, Melting Dew looks to be progressing quickly and he can land the Qatar Summer Handicap at 2.25. His Sandown form was boosted by runner-up Alfarris earlier in the week and he's the cornerstone of this week's Yankee as he looks banker material.
I reckon Stoute can double up in the Gordon Stakes at 3.00 as I'm not as convinced as the market is about Dee Ex Bee and am more than happy to put my faith in Sun Maiden.
The beautifully-bred Frankel filly is very lightly-raced and she can take another step forward here following her Royal Ascot third.
With two strong fancies in the bag it's time to roll the dice in the incredibly difficult Stewards' Cup and its consolation race.
In the consolation at 1.50 I like Shepherd's Purse as he ran a good race in defeat in the Scurry Handicap at the Curragh last time and I think this faster track will play to his strengths.
Finally, Glenamoy Lad looks to have been saved for a massive pot since thrashing Tropics at Newcastle and his shrewd yard can be rewarded in the Stewards' Cup with the brilliant Silvestre de Sousa booked to do the steering.
