My best bet for the Shergar Cup is Hayley Turner to win the Silver Saddle. She has a strong book of rides and is right at the top of her game at present.
Sir Robert Cheval goes well at Ascot and is fancied to win the opening Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Dash for Robert Cowell and Yutaka Take. He had a rare off-day in the Wokingham last time but that was a red-hot handicap and dropped in grade here, looks a good bet to successfully concede weight all round.
Eddystone Rock is another top weight I like in the Challenge at 2.15. He looked to be on his way back when ninth behind Dash Of Spice at the Royal Meeting here and has slipped to a very attractive handicap mark.
Via Serendipity will be suited by going back to a mile in the 2.50 having run a cracker over seven furlongs in the International at this track last time. He looks a great ride on the card for Hayley Turner.
The best bet at Haydock is Elwazir in the Smarkets Betting Exchange Rose Of Lancaster Stakes. He thumped Cross Counter at Sandown in June and improved again when taking a handicap at Ascot last time. He goes up in grade here but is a horse to follow.
