Oli Bell: Doncaster Yankee for day three of the St Leger Festival

Oli Bell fancies former winner Sheikhzayedroad to put his best foot forward and win the Doncaster Cup this afternoon - check out his Friday Yankee.

Oli Bell: Friday Yankee

1.50 Doncaster - Anna Nerium

2.25 Doncaster - Rumble Inthejungle

3.00 Doncaster - Just In Time

3.35 Doncaster - Sheikhzayedroad

Sheikhzayedroad has been called a few names in his time but this is one talented stayer when he's on song and he's normally been pretty good after a break in the past. He won the Doncaster Cup two years ago and this edition doesn't look any stronger than that race.

With the David Simcock team in such good heart, he's given the nod in the day three feature.

Rumble Inthejungle looks banker material in the Flying Childers and would surely be a shade shorter if he was trained by one of the better-know trainers. I've no doubt Richard Spencer has what it takes to reach the top and his winner yesterday with Stay Classy was a good boost for the yard ahead of this important assignment for the stable star.

Anna Nerium is bit of a seven furlong specialist and the three-year-old fillies have been doing well against their elders all year so she's a cracking bet in the opening Sceptre Stakes, while Sheikhzayedroad's jockey Martin Harley could be on the mark with Just In Time in the Mallard too.

I was really impressed with Alan King's horse when he cruised home at Goodwood and a 10lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to stop him following up if in a similar mood.
