It's been a fantastic couple of days on the Roodee and the Chester May Meeting finishes with a bang with the feature of the week, the 188Bet Chester Cup, taking centre stage on Friday.

There are lots with chances in this, as you would expect, but I think Sky Bet are taking a chance by dangling big odds about Charlie Fellowes' PRINCE OF ARRAN.

He has to carry a big weight, but he's a very classy horse and he ran really well out at Meydan earlier in the year, winning a two-mile handicap off a rating of 104 in one of his races out there.

That takes some doing and he might just be flying under the radar a bit in this given he hasn't been seen in this country this year. His draw in eight is fine and stamina is his strong suit. Go on the Prince!

If he's the Yankee wild card, then EMINENT is the banker. He goes in the Huxley Stakes at 2.25 and he really should win on all known form. That's reflected in his odds, but he's very solid and he's the perfect horse for a multiple cornerstone.

Back to bigger odds with ABOVE THE REST in the opening handicap at 1.50.

He goes very well at Chester, is well drawn in three and should be match fit following a couple of runs last month.

Just before the Chester Cup it's the Boodles Diamond Handicap (3.00) and I very much like the look of NOT SO SLEEPY in this.

It's three years since he won the Dee Stakes at this meeting but he showed good form last season, including when winning an Epsom handicap off Friday's mark of 98. That alone makes him of strong interest at decent odds in an open race.

Enjoy the racing folks, don't forget all four Yankee races are live on ITV4. See you then!
