Kim Bailey is considering the Boylesports Irish Grand National for his gallant Eider Chase runner-up Knockanrawley.
The lightly-raced nine-year-old beat all bar Mysteree over four miles and half a furlong in heavy ground.
Bailey was delighted with his efforts in defeat, but was also left with a feeling of what might have been after such a gruelling contest.
"He was very tired when he came home, but he had every right to be," said Bailey.
"I was so proud of him, it was such a brave run and I was absolutely gutted he got beaten. He put absolutely everything into it.
"The Irish National would have to be a big possibility now.
"He'll have a good break and we wouldn't be thinking of taking him anywhere for about a month anyway after a race like that.
"The Irish National is six weeks or so away and that would seem logical.
"It was gutting, but he ran a blinder all the same."
