Belated Breath can bely her name by delivering a touch of early Bank Holiday satisfaction for punters at Windsor.

Hughie Morrison's filly goes in the opening Dave & Anita Cornish Wedding Celebration Handicap, on her second start of the campaign after a promising third over course and distance a fortnight ago.

The Berkshire trainer is not averse to plundering the prizes at one of his more local tracks, as he has notably already done this season when Telecaster first announced himself as a feasible Investec Derby contender with a runaway novice win here last month.

Belated Breath is hardly in that class, of course, but she will have the same assistance in the saddle from the outstanding Oisin Murphy.

The four-year-old has a fair bit more going for her, too.

Barely two lengths separated her and Second Collection last month, the winner doing so for the third time in a couple of months, in receipt of 22lb.

The consistent Belated Breath, whose mark is unchanged, did not get the clearest of runs either and is already a four-time winner herself.

Epaulement can pick up a deserved success in Redcar's feature Racing TV Zetland Gold Cup Handicap.

The Tom Dascombe-trained four-year-old has shown himself to be in great nick in two starts so far this season, winning at Ripon before running a great race to be second on much softer ground at Chester.

He is very much at home on a quicker surface and if that effort on the Roodee has not left a mark he is eminently capable of winning off this sort of mark.

More speed will be required in the preceding North East Autism Society Going4Gold Handicap, and Abate can supply the necessary.

Formerly with Roger Charlton, for whom he ran just once last June before switching to Adrian Nicholls this year, Abate has shown pace in abundance on all three starts.

He is down to the minimum trip for the first time, and may well be able to take immediate advantage on handicap debut.

Heritage - in front of Belated Breath when they met at Windsor - can get off the mark at Leicester in the Victoria Park Handicap.

Clive Cox's filly has run a number of consistent races and was not that far behind the smart-looking Queen Power in a Newmarket maiden last season.

Carnwennan promises to be hard to beat in the Bet totetrifecta At totesport.com Handicap at Chelmsford.

The Charlie Fellowes-trained gelding has taken the step up to two miles well and posted a career-best in winning at York's Dante meeting the other week.

He has been raised 4lb for that, but it is unlikely we have seen the limit of his ability just yet and he does hold a Northumberland Plate entry.

Over jumps, Cartmel provides the opportunity to win or lose in charming rural surroundings. If your enjoyment is likely to be determined nonetheless by a successful wager or two, Doing Fine and Fateh can keep a smile on your face.

The former will relish both trip and ground conditions in the Priory Hotel Grand Veterans' Handicap Chase.

Fateh ran well enough on his National Hunt rules debut at Chepstow last time to indicate he can score in this sphere if he can adapt to this unique course in the English Lakes Ice Cream Maiden Hunters' Chase.
