Free horse racing selections for Monday June 18

Keith Hamer previews Monday's racing and is backing a Ralph Beckett-trained runner to bounce back to winning ways.

Rock Eagle suffered a short-priced reverse last time but can make amends in the Sky Bet Racing Cash Out 'Confined' Novice Stakes at Windsor.

Ralph Beckett's charge opened his account over the same 10 furlongs he faces here back in April, running out a cosy enough winner despite showing his inexperience at the business end of the race.

A couple of winners have emerged from the also-rans that day to give the form a pleasing look and Rock Eagle himself has also performed with credit subsequently.

While he was sent off the 11/10 favourite for a novice heat at Salisbury last time, he only failed by a head to catch a runner who was receiving 7lb.

Rock Eagle perhaps did not relish the slow early pace there and eventually launched his challenge down the centre of the track, two factors that possibly went against him too.

He certainly looks an animal of potential and given he is a half-brother to admirable Group Two winner Highland Knight, the class should be there.

Ingleby Hollow can has been consistent of late and can maintain that run by taking the Ayrshire Cancer Support Here To Help Handicap at Ayr.

The six-year-old has decent form on the all-weather, over jumps and on turf and is also versatile trip-wise.

A winner over a mile and three-quarters at Wetherby and second over a mile and a half at Doncaster, both in May, David O'Meara's gelding will be refreshed from a little break and can get his back in front.

Acadian Angel can appreciate the step back up a mile to take the Racing UK Handicap at Carlisle.

The John Quinn-trained four-year-old ran well on her only previous attempt at that distance when fifth to the smart Lincoln Rocks at Musselburgh last June.

She has no trouble staying seven furlongs and was putting in her best work when third at Haydock on her latest start.

This time last year, Formidable Kitt was being prepared for the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot which her dam Ceiling Kitty won in 2012.

Unfortunately, she was unable to match those exploits and it was a similar story when she continued to be highly-tried in Listed and Group-race company on her next two starts.

Trainer Tom Dascombe has lowered her sights this term and Formidable Kitty has run respectably on bother her starts so far.

She can show the spark is still there by getting her head in front for the first time since her debut to land the Enhanced World Cup Specials At 188Bet Fillies' Handicap at Nottingham.
