Monday's racing preview and tips

Chris Wilson has been among the winners already today, so don't miss his selections for the evening cards at Windsor and Ayr.

Di Fede looks the one to be with in the seven-furlong fillies' conditions stakes at Leicester.

Ralph Beckett's three-year-old was a pretty smart juvenile and signed off when pleasingly winning a decent race at Kempton last October.

Di Fede then proved her well-being in a hot fillies' handicap at Ascot in May when she only went down by a neck.

The daughter of Shamardal pulled very hard in the early exchanges that day, so that performance perhaps deserves to be upgraded a notch or two. This drop in trip in trip is highly unlikely to see her regress.

Keep an eye, too, on Twin Appeal, who runs in the seven-furlong handicap later on the card.

David Barron's seven-year-old was an eyecatcher at York just over a week ago when, despite having fluffed the start, he stuck on nicely to take sixth place in an amateurs' handicap.

Twin Appeal is well handicapped on his best Flat turf form and will be ridden by the excellent Jane Elliott, who takes off another 5lb.

Proud Archi appears a worthy ally in a seven-furlong handicap at Ayr.

Michael Dods' inmate had been a little out of sorts since winning at Thirsk last August, but there were signs at Beverley in May that he is returning to form.

The four-year-old son of Archipenko endured a pretty rough passage in a mile-and-a-half handicap and yet he still finished fourth behind Dawaaleeb.

Proud Archi has never won over that trip, so it makes perfect sense to go back to basics at Ayr. He is now just 2lb higher than when he won at Thirsk last summer, so his time is likely to come again very soon.

Miracle Of Medinah has served Mark Usher honourably over the years and can hit the back of the next at Windsor.

The seven-year-old turned in a big show at Ascot last time when he flew home for third spot in a hot race featuring the 103-rated Dreamfield and Silent Echo.

The latter further advertised the form when he won at Windsor three weeks ago.

Silent Echo renews rivalry with Miracle Of Medinah in this six-furlong handicap, but Usher's representative has a favourable swing in the weights and can gain the upper hand.
