Chase That Dream never troubled the winner when third at Lingfield on his debut but the runner-up is rated 76 so the form looks solid in this context. But stablemate and newcomer KING FRANKEL cost 280,000gns as a full-brother to Group 2 winner Eminent and the early Derby entry may be good enough to make a winning start. Summer Power is a half-brother to a Listed winner and could also go well while Newmarket fourth Envega is preferred of the remainder.

LIKELY SUCCESSOR still finished runner-up over the minimum trip at Bath despite racing free in the early stages and can go one better if settling better on her handicap debut. Trixie Mitskie and Honeydew are others open to improvement handicapping for the first time but Find A Penny and Boot Scootin Baby found life tough on their respective handicap bows having both placed before that. Highland Dandy drops back down to the minimum trip with headgear applied.

The Defiant is getting closer as he slips further down the weights while Comeatchoo has been thereabouts over 6f here recently. Sapphire Jubilee ended last season with a victory at Newcastle but has been off the track for over a year while Blue Venture has found one too good on Turf the last twice. But WADE’S MAGIC was beaten only a head at Beverley last week and may be the one to side with racing off the same mark today with Silvestre De Sousa taking over the reins.

Absolutio is raised in class after winning over 6f here while Steelriver’s winning streak came to an end when upped to 7f here last time. Grandfather Tom was narrowly beaten at Yarmouth recently and can figure and stablemate Cowboy Soldier is back on a winning mark if back to his best but preference is for BENNY AND THE JETS. The latter has been competing in tougher sprints than this on Turf since scoring at Kempton in June and Oisin Murphy’s presence is another positive.

KODIAC PRIDE passed the post first at Salisbury just three days ago but was disqualified for having lost a weight cloth during the race. He can gain compensation by landing this. Hajjam finished in front of Luxor when narrowly beaten at Ayr and can figure again while Dancing Rave has gone close since scoring over track and trip back in March. Fancy Footings is back on a winning mark and preferred to Amplification.

Grace And Virtue won at Pontefract last month but was due to race at Haydock yesterday. Sir Rodneyredblood scored at Lingfield when Bartat and Quaint filled the places and is 4lb higher today but CUPID’S BEAU is less exposed. The latter returned to action with narrow-margin defeat in maiden company over course and distance with both Kingsholm and Bernard Spierpoint behind and Dave Loughnane’s charge is taken to confirm running in the process of opening his account.

ILARAAB is penalised for winning at Thirsk but he beat a previous winner on that occasion and breeding suggests this longer trip will suit the Haggas colt. Liberty Power finished a long way behind the selection but Spirit Dancer was beaten less than a length here back in October and Mutalahef finished runner-up over 7f at Lingfield on last year’s debut. Blue Flame is out of a winner in France and fellow newcomer Secret Account is fitted with a tongue-tie.

Connections will be hoping Heaven Forfend improves for this extra distance having returned a losing favourite the last twice. Endured is fitted with headgear after disappointing at Windsor though Tasaamuh finished closer at York last time without troubling the winner and can figure. But VOTTORIA LIGHT (NAP) came up against the potentially smart Darain when runner-up over 1m2f at Newmarket last time and Charlie Appleby’s charge gets the vote to go one better. Nitro Express and Mahanakhon Power look best of the remainder.

1m4f winner Miss Morocco ran well again when fourth at Doncaster on her handicap debut and Geizy Teizy has won over 1m2f in the past. Red For All is fitted with headgear after placing at Yarmouth but most of the remainder step up in trip. Image Of The Moon has been thereabouts over a mile and the same comment applies to Mayfair Pompette but DAHEER is less exposed. He disappointed when sent off favourite at Chepstow for his handicap debut but this longer distance and return to the all-weather should suit Owen Burrows’ US-bred colt.
