Kempton Wednesday tips: Man On The Spot guide

Check out our race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for this evening's meeting at Kempton.

5.05

Those with experience make little appeal though the likes of Tribuna Uffizi and Rumi could finish closer today on the back of moderate debut efforts. But one of the newcomers may prove good enough with the Godolphin filly Kinderfrau representing John Gosden and the US-bred Beating All a Sir Michael Stoute debutant. But FOXES TALES cost 400,000gns as full-brother to a winner and a half-brother to six others including Group 1 winner Las Collina and winning stablemate Fox Chairman and Andrew Balding’s colt may prove the one to side with.

5.35

Saratoga Gold won over a longer trip at Lingfield and is 6lb higher while Marsabit beat Shady Mcgee by only a neck over course and distance and has been raised 7b. Deep Impression finished third at Thirsk back in September while Autumn Twilight drops in class and steps up in distance on the back of last month’s handicap debut over 7f here. Several have scope handicapping for the first time including Secret Haunt and King Of Tsavo but SMART QIBILI just missed out in novice company over today’s trip at Newcastle last time and Marco Botti’s colt gets a speculative vote.

6.05

Uzincso has won four of his last five outings over course and distance and makes a quick reappearance carrying a penalty. But he’s also upped in class and ESPRESSO FREDDO is preferred. Robert Stephens’ charge scored in this grade over track and trip a fortnight ago and is taken to confirm running with Delicate Kiss. The latter finished three lengths behind the selection but has subsequently won at Lingfield while Fantasy Believer scored here before struggling over a longer trip off today’s higher mark.

6.35

FULL INTENTION got his head back in front at Chelmsford last time. He’s been raised 5lb but today’s opposition is a mostly frustrating bunch and he may be worth sticking with. Maysong has plenty to find with the selection while Grey Galleon was narrowly beaten over 6f here last time and Higher Kingdom won a novices' race over the same distance at Newcastle. True Belief scored over today’s trip at Yarmouth earlier while Enough Already, Tipperary Jack and Brunel Charm are usually thereabouts without winning.

7.05

REVOLUTIONARY MAN (NAP) won at Lingfield in August and has gone close again off today’s mark the last twice now. He looks most likely to run his race in this and come out best. Leo Davinci finished just ahead Sarah's Verse when third at Wolverhampton though the latter is less exposed and can reverse running while Bernard Spierpoint posted a better effort over 6f at Chelmsford and returns to this longer trip. Hedging has won off a higher mark on Turf and remains unexposed on the all-weather.

7.35

SECRET TREATIES won over 6f at Chelmsford last time. But her earlier success in October came over course and distance and she gets the nod to go in again. Havana Sunset went close at Wolverhampton last week and Global Style found only one too good here recently while Chiarodiluna and Broughton Sunpearl finished closer on their latest starts and can figure. Mrs Benson and Soyounique are others to consider in something of a lottery.

8.05

COMBINE has placed in both starts since scoring over today’s trip at Wolverhampton. The return to Polytrack is not a problem and Hugo Palmer’s charge is preferred to Beverley maiden winner Lord Of The Alps. Licit remains 10lb higher than an earlier success at Haydock while Casa Loupi looks no nearer opening his account and Hotspur Harry has switched yards for his handicap debut having failed to win in four outings in Ireland for Joseph O’Brien.
