Marwan Koukash's Gabrial has been retired after a fine career spanning 93 races which saw him earn £838,501 in prize-money.
Trained throughout by Richard Fahey, the son of Dark Angel won on his debt at Chester in May 2011 and went on to land the Betfred Silver Bowl at Haydock, bet365 Doncaster Mile and 2015 Unibet Lincoln.
His last victory came at Epsom in August last year, fittingly the 500th for his owner in Britain. He twice finished third in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood, including behind Frankel in 2012, and also filled the same spot in the 2015 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot.
Fahey said: "Gabrial has been a remarkable servant to Marwan and the team here and an absolute pleasure to deal with. He retires fit and well and he'll be missed around Musley Bank. He gave us some great days over the years."
