Tom Dascombe's Katiesheidinlisa headed for Cheshire Oaks at May meeting

Tom Dascombe has identified the Arkle Finance Cheshire Oaks as an ideal target for Katiesheidinlisa.

After winning over 10 furlongs at Newbury on Friday, the daughter of Camelot may now be stepped up in both class and trip to tackle the extended one-mile-three Listed contest at Chester on May 8.

Dascombe said: "Katiesheidinlisa is a nice filly that has a nice pedigree. She, I am sure, will go on to do better things this year.

"We will have a look and see, but the Cheshire Oaks is an obvious race we might just have a go at."

The Cheshire trainer may run Great Scot in the Qipco 2000 Guineas and Iconic Choice in the 1000 Guineas after the pair finished second in the Greenham and Fred Darling respectively at the Berkshire track on Saturday.

Dascombe said: "They both ran really well. I thought the filly ran a blinder - she did everything bar win.

"Great Scot just needs to settle better, but then he hit a flat spot and ran on again. He ran well. We are spending a lot of time getting him to settle.

"I think if we get him to do that, then ask him to race, he might win a big race. I'm guessing we are looking towards the Guineas with both of them."
