Star claimer Ben Jones has been confirmed for the ride on ante-post gamble De Rasher Counter in the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury on Saturday.
The conditional jockey has been in red-hot form this season, winning 21 times including big-race victories on Gumball and Misty Bloom.
The latter was for Emma Lavelle, who trains De Rasher Counter - a horse backed in from 33/1 to 10/1 for the Newbury showpiece in recent weeks.
"Adam Wedge has to go to Newcastle so we've decided to claim off him with Ben Jones," Lavelle told Sky Sports Racing.
"I'm very happy with him (De Rasher Counter), he has a nice profile for the race. We need everything to go smoothly for him on the day and have a bit of luck with him."
De Rasher Counter improved throughout last season as a novice chaser, beating Walt at Newbury in December before ending his campaign with a six-length win at Uttoxeter in March.
He had a spin over hurdles under Jones back at the Midlands track last month, a race Lavelle says has put him spot on for his Newbury assignment.
