Investec Oaks betting tips, features racecards and odds

We've got everything you need ahead of the opening day of the Investec Derby Festival including tips, features, racecards, odds and form.

The fillies take centre stage on day one of the Investec Derby Festival, with the Oaks run over a mile and a half for a prize of £283,550 to the winning connections.

Aidan O'Brien will be looking for a third straight victory and seventh overall, in a race he won last year with the brilliant Minding. He is responsible for hot favourite Rhododendron, who was second to double Classic winner Winter in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and she's joined by stablemates Alluringly and Pocketfullofdreams.

Alluringly finished second behind John Gosden's Enable in the Cheshire Oaks and Frankie Dettori has opted to ride Enable, with Andrea Atzeni set to partner Coronet, who is also in the care of Gosden.

Other leading contenders include Andrew Balding's Horseplay, Natavia from Roger Charlton's stable and the fascinating American challenger Daddys Lil Darling for trainer Kenneth McPeek and jockey Olivier Peslier.

Check out our all-in-one preview package including Value Bet tips from Ben Linfoot and Richard Fahey's horse-by-horse guide.

Investec Oaks history

The Investec Oaks on Epsom Downs is the third of Britain's five Classic races during the season and the second of two restricted only to fillies, with the 1000 Guineas being the first.

It therefore serves as the second leg of the fillies' Triple Crown, which culminates with the St Leger in September, but this feat is rare and was last achieved in 1985 when Oh So Sharp famously won all three races.

First run in 1779 and won by the Lord Derby-owned Bridget, the Oaks is steeped in history and here's a selection of stats and all the winners since 2000.
