Harry Fry is looking forward to saddling his first ever runner on the Flat in Ireland when Four White Socks contests the Munster Oaks at Cork.

The Seaborough handler is no stranger to big-race victories over jumps in the Emerald Isle - most recently seeing his stable stalwart Unowhatimeanharry claim a second Ladbrokes Champion Stayers Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival.

Having previously been trained by the now-retired Luca Cumani, Four White Socks is a relatively new addition to Fry's yard.

The daughter of Lope De Vega was an impressive winner at Goodwood last summer and will make her first competitive appearance since September in Friday's Group Three feature.

Fry said: "We've had her for a few months and we've been happy with what she's shown us.

"We've decided to send her across for the Munster Oaks in the hope that she can pick up a bit of black type.

"She's a rare runner on the Flat for me, and my first runner on the Flat in Ireland, so we're looking forward to it."

Four White Socks heads a field of seven runners, with Aidan O'Brien doubly represented in his bid to claim this prize for a fifth time in the last six years.

The Ballydoyle handler runs Chablis and Peach Tree, with the latter dropping in class a fortnight after finishing down the field in the Investec Oaks at Epsom.

The highest-rated participant is the Ger Lyons-trained Who's Steph, who was only narrowly denied by Dermot Weld's Tarnawa in the Blue Wind Stakes at Naas on her latest outing.

Weld's Jaega, John Oxx's Moteo and Tipitena, from Willie McCreery's yard, complete the line-up.
