A decent enough card at Dundalk this evening and the first bet I'll recommend is TYRCONNELL in the BetVictor Loyalty Club Handicap.

It's an ultra competitive handicap over the mile trip and a case can be made for a lot of them but Tyrconnell had a really good winter here last time around and looks set for another profitable spell following a pleasing comeback third behind Ozymandis over course and distance last month.

The reopposing Freescape was second on that occasion but I think Tyrconnell might be the one to improve and he's a horse who travels really well so he'll like the good pace he should get to chase here. He's also got a great draw in stall one and should be finishing strongly.

There are extra places with a few firms and he's a fair each-way price.

NO SHOW is another strong-travelling type and I like the look of him in the Kathleen Pierce Memorial Handicap (Div I).

He looked a bit unlucky when beaten half a length in third here last month and runs off just a 1lb higher mark on this occasion.

He likes to be held up and may need some luck from stall nine as he could find himself behind horses turning in but otherwise I like his claims and the odds look reasonable with him too.

I'm also having a bet in the six furlong maiden where Eddie Lynam's PERSIAN WOLF is the one to be on.

He has to reverse last month's form with Cheval Blanc (second) and Eskimo Lil (third) having finished sixth for the third time in his career, but that was his first run since April so was entitled to be needed.

With the benefit of that run behind him, and Declan McDonogh on board for the first time (taking over from a 7lb claimer), he looks the best option to take on the relatively exposed favourite.
