Andre Fabre in no rush with Deauville winner Savarin

Andre Fabre will keep it low-key with impressive Deauville winner Savarin this season.

A daughter of the late Deep Impact out of 2010 Prix de Diane winner Sarafina, she created quite a buzz on her debut.

"She's a nice filly with a beautiful action and a lovely temperament, so we're hopeful for the future with her," said Fabre.

"She's a very light filly so I don't want to over-race her and she has the pedigree to be a very good three-year-old."

He added: "She might have one more race this season, possibly the (Group Three) Prix D'Aumale at Longchamp (September 8), but I wouldn't want to run her on soft ground."

Fabre is aiming Waldgeist at the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe once again after his fine run behind Enable in the King George at Ascot.

The five-year-old was two lengths behind John Gosden's star, with Crystal Ocean separating them, and having finished fourth in the race last year hopes are high he should be in the mix once again.

"I was very pleased with him," said Fabre.

"He had an easier race than he actually had at Royal Ascot and he took the race really well.

"Obviously he'll go back for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe now and we'll see if he needs a prep race or not, there are plenty of options if he needs one."
