Free horse racing selections for Tuesday January 15

Ramsbury is Nick Robson's best Tuesday bet and he runs on the evening card at Kempton.

NAP: Ramsbury 4.10 Kempton

Next best: Emitom 1.10 Lingfield

Ramsbury looks a nice type for Charlie Fellowes and can remain unbeaten in the 32Red Casino Novice Stakes at Kempton.

Sporting the Anthony Oppenheimer colours carried with great distinction by Golden Horn and Cracksman in recent years, he was sent off a short-priced favourite on his debut at Wolverhampton.

Ridden with a great deal of confidence by Stevie Donohoe, he was an easy winner and while it is sometimes difficult to know what all-weather form is worth, the second won a maiden by five lengths next time out, as did the third.

He has obviously needed time - he was gelded early on and did not make his debut until he was nearly four - but there is no doubt he could be quite a force for Fellowes.

The step up to a mile should suit Tamerlane who is in search of a hat-trick in the 32Red Casino Handicap.

Clive Cox's charge started his progression from a lowly rating, but he is getting the hang of it now.

Two wins have come over seven furlongs, from marks of 59 and 65, but it looked like there was more to come as he got on top close home. His progression might not have stopped yet.

Stuart Williams always operates at a decent strike-rate and he can further enhance his statistics with Compas Scoobie in the 32Red Handicap.

The six-year-old arrives on the back of a mid-season break, but had been in fantastic form having won two and finished second in his previous three races.

He is 3lb higher than for his last win at Wolverhampton and he is ridden by Richard Kingscote this time, rather than a claimer, but having won off 87 at his peak, he still has a bit of wriggle room off his current mark.

Mark Johnston does not have many jumpers, but Dr Richard Kimble could be the type to take to it and he starts off in the Parklands Golf Club Juvenile Maiden Hurdle at Newcastle.

He will always be remembered by Johnston as the horse who took him level with Richard Hannon in his pursuit of the record for the most number of winners.

Rated 82 on the Flat, he could be a Fred Winter type come March.

Warren Greatrex's Emitom will surely take all the beating in the starsports.bet Novices' Hurdle at Lingfield.

A bumper winner at both Warwick and Ascot, he made no mistake on his hurdling debut at Ffos Las and Greatrex has high hopes for him.

He was due to run at Newbury before Christmas, but met with a small setback. All is clearly well again now.
