So Mi Dar is set to head straight to Royal Ascot after a minor issue ruled her out of the Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown on Thursday.
The John Gosden-trained four-year-old was due to return in the Group Three event after testing ground saw her to miss an intended reappearance in last week's Middleton Stakes at York.
However, connections have been forced to sidestep the Sandown contest, but So Mi Dar, who has not run since last October, is not expected to be out of action for long.
Simon Marsh, racing manager for owner Lord Lloyd-Webber, said: "She has a problem with her muscle enzymes, it's nothing too serious and not a long-term problem at all.
"It's very annoying as we're desperate to get a run into her. She's in very good form and has been working very well, she just needs to run but there's nothing you can do.
"Hopefully we will go to Royal Ascot now. She's in a couple of races there and there's been no decision on which race she will run in yet."
So Mi Dar is entered in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes, which is over a mile and restricted to fillies and mares, as well as the 10-furlong Prince of Wales's Stakes on the second day of the Royal meeting.
