It's all-weather racing all the way for Richard Mann on Thursday with the Sporting Life Daily Nap running at Southwell.
Sporting Life Daily Nap, November 15
- NAP: Shearian (12.10 Southwell)
- Next Best: The Pinto Kid (5.30 Kempton)
Treble: Agent Of Fortune (6.30 Kempton)
Shearian was narrowly denied at Southwell at Monday but can gain quick compensation when returning to the same track for the sunracing.co.uk Handicap (12.10) on Thursday.
Declan Carroll’s charge is something of a course specialist having won six times on the fibresand already and he ran another fine race earlier in the week, travelling smoothly for much of the one-mile contest before throwing down a sustained challenge in the closing stages.
He only found Irish raider Earl Of Bunnacurry half-a-length too strong at the finish and given the pair pulled 16 lengths clear of the third horse, that form looks strong in the context of this race.
Down at Kempton, The Pinto Kid is well worth sticking with in the 32Red Handicap (5.30) having impressed when winning at this track last time.
The three-year-old son of High Chaparral looked some way ahead of his mark when sweeping clear over 1m3f on that occasion and a 4lb rise in the weights appears lenient with the promise of plenty more to come.
On the same card, it is hard to get away from Agent Of Fortune in division one of the 32Red.com Handicap (6.30) following her bloodless success at Chelmsford last week.
She must shoulder a 6lb penalty tonight but is improving at a rapid rate of knots and should be able to complete the hat-trick while on such a steep upward curve.
