Ben Linfoot heads to Kempton Park for the Sporting Life Daily Nap on Wednesday with one of Jim Boyle's fancied to prevail.
Sporting Life Daily Nap, October 16
EXEC CHEF has managed to string a losing sequence of 11 together now but the handicapper has given him a real chance dropping him 8lb in four runs so he's weighted to strike in the 32Red Handicap at Kempton on Wednesday (6.40).
Jim Boyle's horse was rated 98 in June and July and ran a one-and-a-half length third at Chelmsford off that mark at the time - and that was his last run on the all-weather.
He's been set some tough assignments since including in the John Smith's Cup at York and in a hugely competitive Glorious Goodwood handicap, while the heavy ground blunted his speed in the easiest test he's been set for a while at Epsom last time out.
The positive thing is he travelled well that day and the handicapper has dropped him a further 2lb, allowing him to drop into a 0-90 for the first time in 10 starts.
If the gallop is a good one Exec Chef looks a big player dropping back to a mile on the all-weather, especially now he's dropped to a favourable handicap mark.
