Ben Linfoot returns to the Daily Nap hot-seat and he fancies a little bit of history repeated on Town Moor.
Sporting Life Daily Nap, January 24
Ben Linfoot heads to Doncaster on Friday for the Sporting Life Daily Nap with a horse from Sue Smith's yard fancied to repeat a feat.
CRACKING FIND has come down the weights after three runs over 2m4f but he can prove he's well handicapped off 128 when he drops back in trip for the Sky Bet Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Chase at Doncaster on Friday.
Sue Smith's horse won this race last year off a mark of 131 in a good renewal in which he beat Forest Bihan, Modus, Ozzie The Oscar and Champagne At Tara, and he further proved his suitability for Doncaster with a close-up third, again over two miles, off a mark of 136 after that.
He's struggled this season after starting off that rating but all three of his defeats came over 2m4f and the Sue Smith yard took a while to get going when he was running in the early art of the season.
The stable is firing on all cylinders now with six winners in January at 33 per cent, Saturday's Haydock double highlighting the current well being of horses from the yard.
Cracking Find could well continue the golden run on Friday, now he's running over his optimum conditions off a rating we know he can do some damage off.
