Free betting tips: Sporting Life's daily horse racing nap of the day

Matt Brocklebank looks to Newcastle for Tuesday's Nap, with Anthony Brittain fancied to saddle a winner on the Tapeta.

Sporting Life Daily Nap, March 26

CANFORD BAY seems to like a Tapeta surface and posted another smart effort on it when second at Newcastle at the start of the month.

He got tired late on having his first start since September but went down fighting, losing out by a length from Zapper Cass, who has won again since.

The handicapper has pushed him up 1lb for that effort but he's still only 3lb higher than when successful over five furlongs at Wolverhampton in August and returning to the same spot for Tuesday's Betway Casino Handicap will suit.

A bigger issue could be the wide draw as he's positioned out in stall 11, but Anthony Brittain's charge is a keen-going sort so won't mind being tucked in behind rivals as long as they go a strong pace.

Cam Hardie gets on well with the five-year-old and can produce him with a good, late bid if the gaps appear at the right time.
