Royal Ascot and Breeders' Cup heroine Tepin was snapped up by Coolmore for a cool $8million at Fasig-Tipton's November sale in Kentucky on Monday.
The Mark Casse-trained mare retired from racing last year having won 13 races overall and six Group Ones, including the 2016 Queen Anne Stakes and the 2015 Breeders' Cup Mile.
She is currently in foal to American superstar Curlin and is set to visit Galileo in 2018 after confirmation she will join Coolmore's broodmare band in Ireland.
The successful bidder, M.V. Magnier, told www.bloodhorse.com: "It's a lot of money, but she's an excellent racehorse.
"She's very good looking. She was a good two-year-old and she was good up to the age of five.
"Mark Casse did an unbelievable job with her through her career."
