7.50 WORCESTER PREVIEW

ROYAL VILLAGE caught the eye at both Southwell and Market Rasen before notching up his first win of the year at Perth.  He showed a lot of flair at Southwell when pulling hard on bottomless ground and it was to his credit finishing as close as he did to the winner.  Next time back over conventional hurdles at Market Rasen his jumping was very poor and he only got going at the back end of the race.

I was a little disappointed with his run last time despite winning, but it was a bit of a messy race and he may have got lonely out in front.

Back over baby fences today I think his jumping will be a lot better and I'm sure he has the make up to be a 130 horse. If that's the case he will take some stopping today even with a penalty and at 6/4 I think he will take the beating.

Clo Sacre was weak in the market when falling at Taunton and it's a bit of shot in dark for anyone backing him.

Minella Treasure ran okay on his first start under rules last year, he has a bit too prove on his debut for Noel Williams after a long break. It's also possible  he may lack the zip against the selection on decent ground.

Mr Fenton's bumper form was average but he ran with promise on his third start over hurdles when giving away a lot of ground as the tapes went up. I'm not sure what that form amounts to.
