Owner and professional punter Murt Khan heads to Brighton for the day's best bet.
1955 Brighton - Captain Bob
CAPTAIN BOB has always been a talented horse but hasn't been the easiest to win with (2 wins from 34 runs) but caught the eye when a slightly unlucky ninth at Newbury last October.
His next two starts were also over 7f and in both races he didn't quite see out the trip. Last time out he was dropped back to 6f at Southwell and finished second to the improving Treaty of Rome, who has gone on to win since.
A year ago CAPTAIN BOB was running off a 18lb higher mark and with conditions in his favour today I can see him notching up his third career win at 3/1.

The Tourad Man had run with respect at both The Cheltenham and Aintree Festivals and gained a deserved victory yesterday. Our selection THUMB STONE BLUES made niggly errors throughout but ran with a lot of credit. He remains well handicapped and chasing could be the making of him.

Paddy Brennan gave DOITFORTHEVILLAGE a nicely judged ride from the front to get the better of a fast finishing Abidjan. This was his fourth win of a busy season and it remains to be seen whether he will continue through the summer. I'dliketheoption's jumping was poor throughout and he will be better back on a more conventional track.
