Champ heads the market for Saturday’s Grade One Challow Novices’ Hurdle, but ALSA MIX brings proven Grade Two-winning form to the table, having landed the Winter Novices’ Hurdle last time and she ticks the most boxes from a trends perspective.
Champ and Coolanly are next best, with the latter also a Grade Two winner. Seven of the last 10 winners contested either the Hyde, which he won, or the Winter, en route to Newbury.
Like the past two winners, both Champ and Coolanly are second-season novices, so boast plenty of experience.
