The opening Novice Stakes at Newmarket is full of potentially class types but all the money has been for Tivoli. Trainer John Gosden has unveiled some really promising two-year-olds lately and this one has the benefit of a promising fourth at the course last time. She seems certain to improve and, at 11/8 from 5/2, out customers are relying on her doing so to get the day off to a winning start.
Bristol City to beat Aston Villa
There are two games in the Sky Bet Championship tonight, and punters are backing the home double. Hull are into 3/4 to see off Bolton but the big move has been for Bristol City, into 5/4 from 6/4 for their clash with Aston Villa. Neither side has looked convincing at the back and we've also seen money for goals, but the majority of early money has been for the hosts. They're into 5/4 and continuing to attract support.

Ben Linfoot - Speedo Boy, 1.55 York
"This horse has some really good form to his name having won a Listed contest in France at the start of the season, while he chased home Permian at Newmarket with Khalidi in behind and he was far from disgraced in the Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot when sixth behind Benbatl. Last time out, at Newmarket and on handicap debut, he was outpaced but stayed on really nicely in the closing stages under hands and heels riding to finish a four-length seventh. All of the above was over 10 furlongs and on each occasion he shaped like he wanted further. On pedigree he does, as his dam was a mile and a half winner related to stayers, and the step up to 12 furlongs could unlock significant improvement."

Simon Crawford - Mark Selby to win the Paul Hunter Classic
"(Selby's) defeat in China may turn out to be a silver lining as he will have got the jet-lag out of his system, spent some time with his family and had the opportunity to get on the practice table. He does face a tricky opener against Michael Holt and with the whole event a best-of-seven frames affair, shocks are more likely over the shorter format. But there were enough signs in China for me that Selby is hitting the ball well and I am certain he will be keen to hold on to this particular title."

"Sir Michael Stoute's five-year-old, who races in the colours of Her Majesty, The Queen, tries two miles for the first time here but wasn't stopping when landing the Yorkshire Cup over a mile-and-six-furlongs here in May on soft ground (High Jinx a close third) and, while that form has taken some knocks since, he does look a class act in this field with two Group Two wins under his belt."

Richard Wilson - Murrys Act (T6), 8.37 Romford
Our main fancy of the evening runs in the first heat of the evening at 8.37, and it would be a surprise if Murrys Act (T6) wasn’t very competitive following his easy win in the first round seven days ago. Kevin Boon’s charge sets the standard as a former Derby finalist and the son of Tullymurry Act looked to thrive here over this 575m distance, cruising clear in a competitive race back in the striped jacket last week. A solid start would see the two-year-old have a dream run on the outside and he has the gears to put this opposition to the sword and progress to the final next week for his enthusiastic connections.

Simon Crawford - Aaron Finch to be top Surrey batsman
"(Finch) amassed 450 runs in 12 group games, at an average of 40.9 which is excellent in T20 terms. But the fact he made those runs from just 266 balls faced - hitting 44 fours and 23 sixes with a strike-rate of 169.17 - shows what a destructive batsman he can be at the top of the order. Just two weeks ago he made 114 not out from 64 balls against Sussex - including 30 from one David Wiese over - and has been consistent throughout the Blast with other notable scores of 56, 61,39, 33, 40 and 49 to his name."
