World champion Marc Marquez took the championship lead by winning the Spanish Grand Prix.

The Repsol Honda rider held off fellow Spaniards Alex Rins (Suzuki) and Maverick Vinales (Monster Energy Yamaha) to claimed his second victory of the season.

Marquez crashed out in the Grand Prix of the Americas last time out but returned to form in his home country.

Starting third, he led from the first corner and held on for victory, while former championship leader Andrea Dovizioso finished fourth on his Ducati.

Marquez leads Rins by a point heading to Le Mans, with Dovizioso a further two points behind.
