Jamie Chadwick claims W Series pole

British driver Jamie Chadwick has secured pole position for the opening race of the W Series.

The 20-year-old, who was fastest in both practice sessions on Friday, topped the time charts in qualifying at a wet Hockenheim.

Chadwick dominated the running and was the only driver to break the two-minute barrier here, finishing nearly two seconds quicker than anyone else.

Brit Alice Powell's session ended in the gravel bringing qualifying to a premature end.

Fabienne Wohlwend of Liechtenstein lines up second ahead of Britain's Sarah Moore

The first race of the inaugural women's-only championship starts at 3.10pm (UK).
