Dina Asher-Smith came second in her first 100m of the season at the Rome Diamond League.
The triple European champion clocked 10.94 seconds on Thursday, behind Olympic champion Elaine Thompson, who finished in a world leading time of 10.89secs.
But Asher-Smith continued her fine start to the 2019 outdoor season having already won the 200m at the Diamond League meets in Doha and Stockholm.
The 23-year-old is planning to run the 100m and 200m at the World Championships in Doha in the Autumn.
Laura Muir also came second in the 1500m after running three minutes 56.73 seconds.
The Scot finished behind Genzebe Dibaba after clocking a season's best - and her second ever fastest time in the distance - while Eilish McColgan came eighth.
Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake was eighth in the men's 200m while world and indoor 110m hurdles champion Andy Pozzi posted a second's best of 13.29 seconds as he came second.
