Running back Marshawn Lynch has visited the Oakland Raiders as he decides whether to end his retirement and return to the NFL.
"You know, we've had dialogue about it," John Schneider said on Wednesday on the Seahawks' flagship radio station KIRO 710 AM, referring to Oakland GM Reggie McKenzie.
"Marshawn's trying to figure things out. The Raiders are trying to figure things out.
"My understanding is that if he would want to come back and play then it would be for the Raiders. And that'd be it."
Lynch, who turns 31 on April 22, retired from the NFL and the Seahawks after the 2015 season. He has been on the reserve/retired list since May 2016.
Under terms of his existing contract, Lynch would be in line for a $9m salary and cap hit in 2017, and he would be due a base salary of $7m in 2018 and could potentially earn an additional $3m roster bonus, according to ESPN.
The Raiders lost running back Latavius Murray to the Minnesota Vikings in free agency. Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington are among the candidates to take the lead role in Oakland.
Lynch finished his nine-year NFL career with 9,112 rushing yards and 74 touchdowns in 127 games, and another 1,979 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
