Pittsburgh agree a five-year deal with Antonio Brown

The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed a new five-year deal with Pro Bowl wide receiver Antonio Brown.

According to the NFL's official website, the deal is worth $68m over the next five seasons and makes Brown the NFL's highest-paid wide receiver.

The 28-year-old has been to five Pro Bowls since the Steelers made him a sixth-round pick out of Central Michigan in 2010. He has also earned three All-Pro nods.

Over the past four seasons, Brown has put up truly incredible numbers, catching 481 passes for 6,315 yards and 43 touchdowns.

"Antonio is a good guy, a good person," said Steelers' President Art Rooney II after the season. "I enjoy our personal relationship. His team-mates like to have him on the team. He is a hard worker.

"AB is a big contributor to our success, has been for several years now, and I think he's capable of continuing to be that kind of player.

"I think he's someone who wants to be a great player and works hard to be that. Hopefully, he'll continue to evolve as a player and as a person."

The new deal for Brown comes on the same day the Steelers placed an exclusive rights franchise tag on Pro Bowl running back Le'Veon Bell, ensuring he will remain with the team in 2017.
