BEST BET: Roxholme Hat (T6, 7.59 Central Park)

NEXT BEST: Kentish Power (T6, 7.44 Central Park)

TREBLE: Newlawn Adam (T6, 9.11 Romford)

By Richard Wilson

The £3,000 Silver Salver takes centre stage at Central Park this evening over 265m in what looks to be a competitive Good Friday card at the Kent venue.

Tony Collett has won this prize twice in the last seven renewals and relies on Premier Frankel this time, who was just outgunned in the semi-final by Good Start here seven days ago.

Both should run their race, but it is difficult to oppose Hayley Keightley and Roxholme Hat (T6), who are strongly fancied to take home the prize at 7.59.

Unbeaten in the competition so far and only a narrow second to the equally-talented Affane Party at Sheffield earlier this month, the May '15 dog remains with scope for improvement over sprint distances and rates as nap material for the evening.

Kentish Power (T6) can set the ball rolling at 7.44 and give Collett a winner on the card in a stayers' event over 642m.

He has the beating of the reopposing Paradise Valdez and Cant Teach That based on a course and distance event here last week, and could prove capable of confirming the form.

Paradise Valdez beat the selection by a head earlier this month, but he was a very short priced favourite on that day and there didn't look to be as much between he and the selection as the odds suggested.

Over at Romford, Newlawn Adam (T6) must hold outstanding claims back over his preferred 400m distance at 9.11.

He can be forgiven a poor show at Monmore over 264m last time, and the return to a course and distance where he was previously seen finishing runner-up in the finale of the £10,000 Golden Sprint should suit Phil Simmonds' charge.
