The Central Park Springbok gets underway with four heats this evening and all eyes will be on Ricky Holloway’s Sober Call (T1) in the third instalment at 8.50.

Holloway usually has one lined up for the premier juvenile hurdles competition and his son of Kinloch Brae and Tipp Jewels stands out as a potentially top-class performer in this sphere.

Boasting a good Irish card on the level, the July ’14 whelp has taken to hurdles like a duck to water since joining Holloway and is four wins from as many starts over course and distance. He should do the business and rates banker material.

In the first heat at 7.47, Yassoo Martin (T5) makes plenty of appeal.

He was impressive when beating useful form yardstick Baran El Nino in a trial stakes contest earlier this month and, clad in orange again tonight, another bold showing looks assured.

The final of the Central Park Super Standard at 9.56 can go the way of Art Of Illusion (T6).

Tony Collett’s inmate showed a taking turn of foot in the heats seven days ago and got the trip well to fend off the challenge of Bubbly Zeus.

She has the stripes again tonight and is difficult to get away from in her present mood.
