Manulife LPGA Classic: Jodi Ewart Shadoff fourth in Canada

England's Jodi Ewart Shadoff finished fourth in the Manulife LPGA Classic with a final round 69 in Canada.

Day four report

England's Jodi Ewart Shadoff finished fourth in the Manulife LPGA Classic with a final round 69 in Canada.

Ewart Shadoff finished on 16 under par, just missing out on a three-way play-off which was forced when overnight leader Lexi Thompson missed a birdie putt on 18 in Cambridge, Ontario.

That left the American level on 17 under with Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn and South Korea's Chun In-gee, but when they both parred the first extra hole on the 18th a birdie was good enough for Jutanugarn to seal the victory.

Day three report

England's Jodi Ewart Shadoff heads into the final round of the Manulife LPGA Classic in Canada looking to pull back a four-stroke deficit on leader Lexi Thompson.

Shadoff sank four birdies on her way to a 68, leaving her one of three players at 13 under who are set to chase down the leaders on Sunday.

Compatriot Charley Hull is on nine under after a round of 70 which included a bogey on the first and double bogey six on the 18th.

Bronte Law, meanwhile, had carded a blemish-free second round of 65 to be in contention at the halfway stage.

However, some five bogeys in her one-over 73 - which would have been worse had she not also managed four birdies - left Law tied for 21st place, also at nine under.

American Thompson picked up five strokes to card 67, which puts her one ahead of compatriot Lindy Duncan with South Korea's In Gee Chun a shot further back.

Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn was the biggest mover of the third round as she signed for an impressive seven-under 65 which saw five birdies over the front nine as she climbed to tied fourth.

Canada's Alena Sharp leads the home hopes, also on 14 under.

Day two report

Englishwoman Law sank six birdies in her blemish-free round to surge up the leaderboard on to 10 under alongside Minjee Lee and Shanshan Feng.

South Korea's Hyo Joo Kim shares the lead on 12 under with Lexi Thompson and Alena Sharp, while Perrine Delacour has shot into second after a stunning round of 62.

English pair Jodi Ewart Shadoff and Felicity Johnson are a shot behind their compatriot Law on nine under.

Shadoff, who finished on six under after the first round, maintained her good start after recording just one bogey while Johnson scored seven birdies as she went bogey-free.

Compatriot Charley Hull is two shots back on seven under.

Day one report

England's Jodi Ewart Shadoff is two shots off the lead after the first round of the Manulife LPGA Classic in Canada.

The 29-year-old, from Northallerton, fired a six-under-par 66, consisting of seven birdies and a solitary bogey.

Ewart Shadoff is two shots behind joint leaders by Suzann Pettersen and Mi Hyang Lee.

Both women fired 64s, with Norway's Pettersen sinking nine birdies and one bogey, and South Korea's Lee carding six birdies and an eagle in a blemish-free round.

Laura Gonzalez Escallon, Shanshan Feng and Hyo Joo Kim are on seven under while Ewart Shadoff is joined on six under by Emily Pedersen and Alena Sharp.
