Championship leader Lewis Hamilton was left trailing in final practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix as Sebastian Vettel topped the time-sheets.
Hamilton, who is 17 points clear of Vettel, spun on his hot lap, and finished fourth, half a second slower than his Ferrari rival.
Hamilton lost control of his Mercedes under braking for turn six of the Hungaroring circuit in what has so far been a scruffy weekend for the Englishman.
Valtteri Bottas, in the sister Mercedes, also came unstuck at the chicane after spinning 180 degrees before making light contract with the barriers.
The Finn was given the all-clear to continue by his Mercedes team, and finished the one-hour running within six hundredths of Vettel's best time.
Kimi Raikkonen was third, 0.203 seconds adrift of his Ferrari team-mate.
Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen finished fifth and sixth for Red Bull.
Fernando Alonso was 14th for McLaren, 2.3 seconds off the pace, while his team-mate Stoffel Vandoorne placed 17th of the 20 runners.
