Our F1 Insider is backing Kimi Raikkonen to be the fastest qualifier at this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.
Kimi Raikkonen to qualify fastest at 15/2 (e/w at 1/5 1,2,3)
Raikkonen took pole position in Monaco last year in a Ferrari with which he was far less comfortable than this year's iteration. He outqualified team leader Sebastian Vettel in Melbourne and looked set to repeat the feat in both Bahrain and China before Vettel pulled an extra fraction of a second out of the bag when it mattered. Kimi excels in the kind of slow, technical sequences which are a feature of the Monte Carlo street track and could have a small edge in what might be an intra-Ferrari battle for pole position on Saturday.
Red Bull to take a double podium finish at 15/4
There is reason to believe that the Milton Keynes-based team will have the fastest package in the Principality given their nimble chassis and its impressive traction out of low-speed corners. While pole position will probably be out of their reach this is one of the few tracks on the calendar where Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen might be seen higher than the third row, which would give both a shot at the race win. Backing a double podium finish at nearly 4/1 looks the best way to get the pair on side this weekend.
