Transfer news: Manchester United’s top targets?

Swansea have rejected bids from West Ham for defender Alfie Mawson and 'keeper Lukasz Fabianski.

West Ham tried to sign Mawson, who has two years left on his Swansea deal, in January and will sign at least one centre back this summer.

Fabianski, who has one year left on his deal in South Wales, is expected to leave the Liberty Stadium this summer after the Swans' relegation from the Premier League last season.

Liverpool are pushing to get a deal done to sign Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir before he departs for the World Cup with France, Sky Sports sources understand.

There is no deal yet in place between the relevant parties, but Liverpool are expected to try to finalise an agreement before Saturday.

Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has admitted he’d “love to play in the Premier League”, telling ESPN in Argentina: “I have a contract with Juventus and no one has communicated anything different.

“I’m very calm, my soul stays in Turin for now. But I would love to play in the Premier League, it fascinates me a lot."

Staying with the Serie A champions, Juve are in pole position to sign Wolves target Joao Cancelo, reports AS.

It was said earlier this week that the newly-promoted Premier League side are trying to sign the Portugal international from Valencia in a €40m deal, but it is believed the Italians are still leading the chase to secure the defender’s services.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has identified Clement Lenglet as a cut-price alternative to Toby Alderweireld, say the Manchester Evening News.

And the Red Devils will let star goalkeeper David de Gea move to Real Madrid this summer, but only if they can negotiate a deal for Jan Oblak - report Diario Gol.

Real Madrid were closing in on the signing of Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar before the departure of Zinedine Zidane last week, according to L’Equipe.

The France international had reportedly already informed Zidane of his willingness to move to the Bernabeu and he would have been one of Madrid’s first signings of the summer in a deal worth around €60m.

And finally, Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce boss is being targeted by Leeds United, who are set to give up on Marcelo Bielsa, according to the Birmingham Mail.
