1455: Here's Frank de Boer on Crystal Palace's interest in RB Leipzig's Oliver Burke.

"We only want players who can really contribute to the squad," said de Boer.

"You're not going to throw money away, it has to be a quality player who can directly fit into the way we are playing and he has to be 100 per cent fit.

"He (Burke) is a very young, promising Scottish player. He's from Great Britain so it's always interesting to see those kind of players.

"He's still very young, maybe, but we are also focusing on other players."

1400: Over to something different and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho talks about the rest of the transfer window.

"I don't think we are unless something happened that puts us in the market again," the United boss said.

"I told Mr Woodward that obviously my plans were four, but I also told be cool, no pressure from me, do what you think is the best for the club.

"We will be together again for another transfer window in January and another one in the next summer, so there is no pressure from me at all and I am happy with the squad we have.

"I am ready to go without the fourth player, so if we are out of the market I am fine. I'm ready."

1355: It continues to be about Diego Costa in the transfer window. Now over to Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

Speaking from his native Lagarto earlier this week, Costa criticised Chelsea and Conte, who responded with humour on Friday.

"It's great. I prefer to laugh," Conte said.

"I can tell you that everyone who was in Chelsea knows very well what happened last season with Diego. It's funny, this interview."

1335: Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone hasn't got much to say about Diego Costa.

"Diego Costa is not our player. The only thing that matters to me is tomorrow's game against Girona and the three points," he told reporters today.

1250: Diego Costa has given ESPN Brasil an update on his situation with Chelsea.

"I've demonstrated I care for Atletico and have interest in playing for them," he said.

"But if Atletico and Chelsea don't come to an agreement and Atletico don't make a big effort, I can't keep on wanting to play for a club that isn't going to make a bigger effort to try and sign me.

"I know that this (big effort) will happen, but if it's to pay the amount that Chelsea want it won't be possible."

Asked the fee Chelsea are requesting, Costa said: "I don't know, but my agent said that Chelsea want something that Atletico can't get near.

"What I know is that this offer Chelsea will get is bigger than what they paid (for Costa in July 2014).

"Atletico is a team growing every year, a big team, but they can't pay an extraordinary amount.

"When I came to Chelsea they paid a lot less compared to what's being offered to them.

"I think they should take into account everything that I've done. It's not my fault that I'm not at the club. If it was down to me I'd be playing. It's already been one month. Holidays are good but it gets tiresome.

"I didn't provoke the situation, but now that it's come to this the club has to think in two ways.

"Of course they need to get something back, like I gave them on the pitch, but financial as well. After three years they will receive a fee higher than what they paid."

1245: Manchester City have signed Nigerian striker Larry Kayode from Austria Vienna and immediately loaned him out to Girona.

1235: A done deal in the Sky Bet Championship as Norwich sign Sean Raggett on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee from Lincoln, with the defender set to rejoin his old club on loan until January.

1155: Sky sources are suggesting that Chris Wood has been offered a three-year contract extension by Leeds amid reported interest from Burnley.

The Clarets, who recently sold Andre Gray to Watford, are odds-on in Sky Bet's transfer markets to land the striker, who found the net 27 times last season.

1140: Paul Clement has revealed that Gylfi Sigurdsson, who has now joined Everton, wanted out of Swansea at the end of last season.

"I made it clear to Gylfi at the end of last season and conversations I had via texts with him over the summer that I would like him to stay," Clement said.

"His view was that he would like the opportunity to potentially embark on another challenge.

"I was aware of that from the end of last season. The conversations were open and frank, but you still hope there might be a change of mind.

"It might have been: 'The fans want you here, the owners want you here, I want you here' and the answer could have been 'Okay, I'll stay.' But that wasn't the case."

1050: Some big news from Scotland as Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong signs a new two-year contract.

Armstrong told the club's website: "I am delighted to sign this new contract with Celtic. I have had a tremendous time at the club so far and it has been a period in my footballing career which I have enjoyed immensely.

"It has been an honour to play for a club of such stature. I have enjoyed a great relationship with our supporters and we have achieved a high level of success, something it has been great to be part of.

"I'm pleased that this new contract has been agreed and I am now looking forward very much to working with the manager, our staff and my team-mates to bring the club and our fans even more success."

1006: It seems like the bookmakers are taking Pulis' comments about as seriously as our last post, with the centre-back 7/4 with Sky Bet to still be a West Brom player come the close of the transfer window.

1002: Here are those quotes on Jonny Evans' future from a resilient Tony Pulis, who definitely has his laptop fired up ready to accept Manchester City's second bid.

Whilst stood up, he said in his press conference: "We've turned down an offer for Jonny. We don't want to sell Jonny and we don't need to sell him. It would have to be a very, very good offer.

"Jonny understands the situation and where everything is. He is happy here and wants to get on with his football."

Jonny either doesn't like benches or money, or he now doesn't like Tony.

0950: Some quotes from Sunderland manager Simon Grayson on Robert Snodgrass before we bring you the latest on Jonny Evans.

Asked if he was interest in Snodgrass, with whom he worked during their time together at former club Leeds, Grayson told a press conference: "When people like him become available you would be foolish not to consider it.

"Again, that would be a deal dictated by finances. Can we do it? Who knows, but we might ask the question."

0920: A bit of breaking news as Tony Pulis confirms that West Brom have rejected an offer from Manchester City for Jonny Evans. Full story and quotes to follow.

0910: Mauricio Pellegrino has given an update on the future of Virgil van Dijk at Southampton.

"The Virgil situation, nothing has changed, it's the same as last week," said Pellegrino, of Van Dijk.

"For that reason I have nothing to say on that. He's okay but he won't be available to play."

0900: Good morning and welcome to the final day of the week in The Transfer Bulletin. Let's start in traditional fashion with Paper Talk, all the latest on Manchester City's interest in Jonny Evans is included.
