Ben Te'o out of England's tour of South Africa with quad injury

Worcester centre Ben Te'o will miss England's three-Test South Africa tour after being ruled out with a quad injury.

England head coach Eddie Jones has made three changes to his original 34-man squad, with Te'o sidelined due to what the Rugby Football Union described as a "small repair to quad muscle".

Sale Sharks back Cameron Redpath and flanker Jack Willis, who both have knee injuries, are also out.

The RFU announced call-ups for uncapped Gloucester full-back Jason Woodward, Northampton back Piers Francis and Wasps number eight Nathan Hughes.

England will fly to South Africa on Saturday for a three Test series. They begin against the Springboks in Johannesburg on June 9, before travelling to Bloemfontein on June 16 and Cape Town on June 23.

England squad:

Backs: Mike Brown, Danny Cipriani, Elliot Daly, Nathan Earle, Owen Farrell, George Ford, Piers Francis, Alex Lozowski, Jonny May, Dan Robson, Henry Slade, Denny Solomona, Ben Spencer, Jason Woodward, Ben Youngs.

Forwards: Luke Cowan-Dickie, Tom Curry, Ben Earl, Ellis Genge, Jamie George, Jonny Hill, Nathan Hughes, Nick Isiekwe, Maro Itoje, Joe Launchbury, Joe Marler, Chris Robshaw, Brad Shields, Sam Simmonds, Kyle Sinckler, Billy Vunipola, Mako Vunipola, Harry Williams, Mark Wilson.
