Take a look at the picks from the Sporting Life team as they embark on week three of their Group Bet campaign, a new way to bet on football at Sky Bet.
Our football team have set up their own group and if you want to do the same, all you have to do is set one up and invite your friends before building an accumulator together.
Once all group players have chipped in with their selection, you can choose whether you want to back it as an accumulator or take out a leg of the bet, in case you think one of your mates has thrown in a dodgy choice.
You can track the action as the play is unfolding and monitor individual performance for your group over a period of time to find out who knows their stuff and who cannot buy a win.
Week Two Reaction:
Much like week one, last week saw two people let the side down, as Watford failed to score against Leicester in George's BTTS selection, while Chris' pick Bolton failed to register three points at home to Wigan after Will Grigg equalised from the spot.
Here are the current standings, with Chris Hammer retaining his place in the squad despite his abject failure last week, while Paul Higham is dropped for off-the-field matters.
- Tom Carnduff: WW
- George Pitts: WL
- Billy Lumsden: LW
- Chris Hammer: L
- Paul Higham: L
Check out Sporting Life's Group Bet for this coming weekend, which is made up of four selections from the team...
Billy Lumsden: Nottingham Forest (to beat Preston) - evens
For me, this is too good to miss out on and could be considered a steal. Notts Forest are unbeaten in seven in the Sky Bet Championship, winning four and drawing three, while keeping four clean sheets in that time too, putting them in the play-off positions. Preston have only registered one win on the road this season and are now sitting in 18th place, leaving me little choice but to go with Aitor Karanka's side in this one.
George Pitts: Peterborough (to beat Oxford) - evens
Even money for Peterborough on home turf looks generous and Steve Evans’ side are on an eight-match unbeaten run in all competitions. Oxford have had a good upturn in results of late, but they face a tough task against promotion-chasing Posh and will be searching for their first Sky Bet League One away win all season, drawing six and losing four on their travels this year.
Tom Carnduff: Port Vale (to beat Morecambe) – 6/4
Morecambe have struggled in front of their own supporters this season and have the fifth-worst home record in League Two. Vale have lost just one of their last four games on the road and convincingly beat Yeovil 3-0 last time out in the league. Neil Aspin’s side will also be full of confidence after beating local rivals Stoke in the Checkatrade Trophy midweek.
Chris Hammer: Bolton (to draw with Norwich) - 18/5
Norwich have won seven of their last eight, drawing the other. They may be on a great run but they are not immune to a surprising setback. The Canaries face off against a Bolton side who are fighting for their lives in the bottom three, and although they may lack quality in the final third, they will be defending resolutely so that they can take something from the match, which I think will prove frustrating for this Norwich team.
