Richard Mann

BUFFER ZONE (2.45 Newmarket)

Newmarket is currently advertising Good to Soft ground and that should prove ideal for Buffer Zone - who has been given a decent break since his last run - and victory here could tee him up nicely for a possible tilt at the Ayr Gold Cup, for which he has an early entry.

Oli Bell

TERUNTUM STAR (3.15 Ripon)

Terentum Star looks to have been aimed at this ever since he won the consolation race 12 months ago and he's only 1lb higher than when beating Spring Loaded at York last October.

Simon Holt

LIBRISA BREEZE (3.35 Newbury)

Second in this race to Massaat last year after which he took the Champions Sprint at Ascot, Dean Ivory's stable-star again looks to be returning to his best following a running-on fourth behind Polydream in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville just under a fortnight ago.

Premier League - Everton v Southampton

Richarlison was the only summer arrival to start for Everton in their opening game at Wolves. He scored twice on his debut in that 2-2 draw, so we back him to have another impact in front of goal on his competitive home debut.

EFL - Leeds United v Rotherham

Against Stoke, Derby and Bolton Leeds United have been leading at half-time and have also scored two goals in the first 45 minutes. Their first-half performances are strong, and in all three of those games they have been leading at the 30-minute mark.

Sporting Life Accumulator

Leeds United will be looking to make it four consecutive wins under boss Marcelo Bielsa, as they host a so far inconsistent Rotherham side. Portsmouth have won both league games this season, while Oxford United have had six scored passed them. Barnsley are aiming to make it three straight wins, having scored six goals in League One so far. Stevenage are unbeaten so far, but Morecambe have let in eight without scoring themselves this season.

Third Test: England v India (Aug 18-22)

India Captain Virat Kohl scored a majestic 149 at Edgbaston, showing him to be light years ahead of his colleagues, who have all struggled on these shores so far. He was also the only Indian batsman to record respectable numbers - 286 runs at an average of 47.66 - during their tour of South Africa earlier in the year. Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara and Shikhar Dhawan all averaged below 20.

Rugby Union

Rugby Championship - Australia v New Zealand

In the past two Rugby Championship openers between these two nations New Zealand have won 42-8 and 54-34. The Wallabies held a trial match against a select Australian Super Rugby XV earlier this month in an attempt to be better prepared to face the World Champions this time around. So expect this game to be closer, but New Zealand to still win comfortably.

Odds correct of 17/08/18

Darts

Corey Cadby is a great price at 14/1 to win the Brisbane Darts Masters this weekend, let alone the 6/4 available for him to defeat Rob Cross in his second-round match this morning. The rising Aussie star, who was the UK Open runner-up, has beaten the world champion in the both matches they've ever played against each other and although those encounters were back in February on the floor of the UK Open qualifiers, it still gives Cadby a mental edge. Of course Cross was out of sorts earlier this season due to the exertions of becoming world champion but he's still not right back to his best and I feel a mini upset is on the cards.
