Real Madrid have continued their summer spending spree with the signing of defender Ferland Mendy from Lyon for a reported £47million.
The 24-year-old left back, who has signed a six-year deal, has played two full seasons with the French giants in Ligue 1 and has earned three caps for the national side.
His arrival has taken Real Madrid's spending close to £300million already following the signings of Eden Hazard (£90m), Luka Jovic (£54m), Eder Militao (£45m) and Rodrygo (£40m).
Mendy be presented at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium on June 19.
Zinedine Zidane is bidding to bolster his squad after they finished a disappointing third in La Liga and were eliminated in the last 16 of the Champions League by Ajax.
Mendy, who joined Lyon from Le Havre in July 2017, made 40 appearances for the Ligue 1 club last season.
